What I measured, and what came out of it.
Where a note came from a measurement, the log says what state it was in. Measurement log
What a measurement looks like
What a test period actually tests
Two weeks on one instrument tests one market, not a tool. Here is what a test period is actually measuring, why ten losses in a row has three different explanations, and why the most common finding is about the person running the test.
Style first, timeframe second, tools last
Most people pick an indicator and then try to build a method around it. The order that works runs the other way, and it starts with something that has nothing to do with charts: when you can actually sit in front of one.
The signal is the smaller half
An indicator can tell you that a set of conditions became true. It cannot tell you whether this is one of the times that matters. That second part is learnable, and the first part is most useful once you no longer need it.
122 marks, 29 percent, and why I am not publishing it
I measured my own setup marker properly for the first time. The result was consistent across three timeframes and it was not good enough. Here is the measurement, the arithmetic, and the harder problem underneath it.
